High Concept Script

Alone with All

Logline:

High-flying hotshot struggles to be the best in the astronaut core but a space shuttle disaster overturns all plans. He becomes grounded for rescue operations and one day flies away from his wedding to a satellite disaster. Saving the world, he restores the gravity but loses all contact with Earth, and his only hope is that someone will find him in his isolation.

Synopsis:

"If you feel that you fall - roll". This rule, NICK learns entering the space training center. And he progresses through the rounds.

Shuttle Columbia is destroyed - all space flights postponed --and Nick has to train and wait to be reassigned.

Cracking up a helicopter, he lands in a mining town, and meets the HULAM family. For years they have been indebted in gratitude to mine-rescuer JOSEPH who laid down his life while saving the father of the family in a colliery accident. Nick emulates Joseph and tries to follow in his footsteps by training as a space-rescuer.

Nick belongs to the heights, but he loves KATE who prefers to be on solid ground. He squares the circle and wins her heart, but not always her appreciation.

While Nick is in the seventh heaven, the world is hanging by a thread. A nuclear-loaded spacecraft is being bugged by CIMMER, the ex-satellite software genius, who wants to bump civilization back into the Dark Ages. Nick leaves everything behind for his urgent rescue mission.

There is only way to deflect the nuclear danger - Nick loads uranium from the satellite into his small reentry module and dispatches it, leaving himself almost no chances to survive. Within six hours, the limit of a space walk, Nick is deadlocked in terrible isolation. He cannot communicate since his radio link is off.

His revolution around the world is a continuous fall into the depths of despair. People think of a way to help him, but to be re-linked to the world, Nick must turn in a certain direction himself.
